Friendly informed service

Friendly informed service - good range of vehicle options - David was very helpful, did not feel pressured in any way. Helpful with a few post sales queries. Would recommend Tiptree Underwoods

5* Service Time & Time Again!

This is now my second car with Underwoods of Clacton. I will be honest I wouldn’t go anywhere else and the fact they are local to me is a huge bonus being a very busy working mum!
Glyn Lashmar - truly goes above and beyond for his clients.
Glyn is there to hold your hand through every step of the process. Which can at times be challenging and frustrating.
Not with Underwoods but with Santander Finance.
This was my only small whinge as their customer portal was a little challenging but Glyn bless him made it happen as he helped me navigate my way through a very painfully slow system which Santander have in place.
But, he managed to get everything achieved!
Never any doubt.

So, I am now the proud owner of a gorgeous new set of wheels which I can proudly drive about in knowing that Glyn got me the best deal possible.

Thank you also to the his wonderful ‘dream team’ that work tirelessly behind the scenes
to make sure that every customer has a first class experience. Nothing truly is too much trouble!

2028 I’ll be knocking back on his door again for my next car.
That’s me now a customer for life!

Thanks Glyn and all at Underwoods for the start of a great weekend in my shiny new car!

Infact if Carlsberg made salesman it would be Glyn!
5* service all the way.

Fantastic customer service throughout by Glyn at Clacton branch. He was so helpful and honest from start to finish and didn't sugar coat anything and nothing is too much trouble even after the sale was done. Would definitely recommend.

Vauxhall dealership Underwoods in Tiptree…

Vauxhall dealership Underwoods in Tiptree are absolutly rude and unhelpful.
My 2018 plate insignia has done 19000 miles and has now broken down. The clutch is completely screwed! 3 independent mechanics have looked at it and said its either a substandard part or manufacturing defect but Vauxhall will not help unless I pay for a full report on the part by a vauxhall garage. The cost of such report is nearly £1,000 and the part cannot be independently checked eiher. Even if the report shows the part is defective Vauxhall will not refund the cost of the report.
Trust me, shop elsewhere they don't care about customers just profit!

Re Vauxhall Astra Purchased Oct 2021 Colchester UK

Re: Vauxhall Astra purchase. My deciding factor in buying this vehicle was; new tyres and low mileage. Upon collection I noticed that one tyre was a completely different tread and showed more wear than the others ( I had failed to notice this). The salesman flatly refused to replace this tyre despite the fact I paid top retail price. The following day a pice of the passenger sun visa fell off because it was broken, the day after, the engine coolant light came on despite the car having been serviced. Underwoods of Clacton topped the coolant up for me. I asked them to check the wiper blades as the screen was smeary, they said they were slightly worn and that I should ask for a replacement at Colchester. This request was declined by the sales director at Colchester! So £100 out of pocket for a tyre and wiper blades. The visor was replaced.
I would urge caution to any prospective buyer, not to be taken in by the bland assurances of Network Q, because, in my case, I found them to be manifestly untrue.

Total useless estate agents. Massive waste of time.

I’ve enquired with Underwoods multiple times over a five year period and have never once had a good experience with them. The first property I viewed had no electricity and no windows and I was expected to view it via the torch on my phone. The second property I viewed was great but on arrival I was told that the listed price was for half of the property despite the brochure clearly stating the price and the full square footage with no caveats (the property was not worth twice the price and remained empty for a long time) the final property was perfect and I attempted to put an offer in after some minor clarifications. It took 11 days and a second prompt email or phone call each time I made contact before getting a response to very simple questions such as “is there hot running water at the property?” and even then the answer was “I think so”. After I tried to make the offer I was told that the property was under offer with someone else “as you are aware” (I wasn’t) and subsequently they said it had become unavailable. Two months of literally trying to give them my money and they were absolutely useless. Funny thing is it’s been over a month now and the property is still empty - perhaps me asking if there was running water was so off putting they decided they’d rather not take my money?

Absolutely useless company - everyone I’ve spoken to about it in business has said the same.
