The user interface of the business checking account is bad. That's annoying, but tolerable. The inability to easily send money electronically between accounts or to business partners (I had to have send them a paper check!) led me to close my account. The fact my account is still open after calling to close it is ridiculous.

I like this online bank for 2 reasons. It pays a decent rate on my savings account and the transfers happen the same day as submitted. No waiting for the next 2 days to see your money!

Poor Bank Application Process

Came for the HYSA, stayed for the great service!
I first came to LiveOak for the high yield business savings account but have found both their online and in person (phone) customer service to be so good - thorough, attentive, and so happy to help at every turn - that I ended up opening high yield savings accounts for every company I manage AND for my family! I've been with them for almost a year and couldn't be happier.

I have 7 accounts at Live Oak Bank and…
I have 7 accounts at Live Oak Bank and have for several years. One of them, a corporate account, used to have a bill pay that worked. It hasn't worked now since January 2024. I have told multiple employees over the years that it is not working. Honestly this isn't acceptable. My husband has told me several times to change banks on that account at least. My other accounts all work as they should. The employees always act pleasant and say they will help solve this but so far no one has.

Good customer service
All of the people that we have dealt with at Live Oak bank have been extremely competent and very nice to deal with. It has been a much better experience than prior banks that we dealt with. I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of, or being pushed into anything I didn’t wanna do.The experience did take a lot longer than was expected.

Great Experience …
I ended up working with live oak after my first lender dropped the ball with my SBA loan. I had to pivot and I worked with Dawn & Kelly from Live Oak and couldn’t have been happier. The SBA loan process is daunting but I had weekly calls with main ticket items highlighted and clear communication. We closed today and honestly it was such a great experience and after starting the process with a bank that did almost everything wrong it was a joy to work with Live Oak Bank that did everything right. I can’t thank Dawn & Kelly enough. Thank you ladies. I’m glad you were part of my team!!
