Creative take on travel insurance
When I was offered a low cost insurance for the weather on my trip, it was almost a no brainer to get it. After researching westherpromise further, the choice was easy.
They kept me up to date with informative emails sent before and after my trip, these included an outline of how the full service works and included conditions of the insurance. The clear communication is especially appreciated.
I look forward to applying this to my next trip.

Atlanta trip assurance
I just got back from Atlanta earlier this month, and even though the weather was perfect, I'd use WeatherPromise again. The area is known for fast changes in weather, and this guarantee is like a safety net. Better safe than sorry, right? Their service was top-notch, quick turnaround, transparent!

This is Dan, co-founder of WeatherPromise. First, I want you to know that we take feedback from our customers very seriously. We are a young company with a team that really cares. I reached out to you personally by email last week, but I haven’t heard back from you.
When we saw your feedback, we went back and looked at the WeatherPromise for your trip to Raleigh Durham. Of course we would love to hear from you directly. You can reply to my personal email I sent to you. But here is what we saw:
First, we did send you an email at 8:00 the day after your trip letting you know that we had watched the weather at the Raleigh Durham airport during your 5-day trip and saw that the weather had met our promise to you. This was before you got the email from Trust Pilot. Of course, it could always end up in spam depending on your settings.
Second, I personally double-checked our data for your trip. As you know, we promised you a refund if you had two rainy days. But you only had one rainy day: October 14th. Our data doesn't show any other day of your trip with rain during our coverage hours.
Just to make sure we aren't missing anything, we double checked our data against Weather Underground. They show exactly the same thing for your trip. Here is the link: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/us/nc/morrisville/KRDU/date/2023-10-11
Of course, we do want to know if we are missing something, so please let me know by replying to the email that I sent to you last week.

I am really glad I got this insurance. When I was booking my trip the weather was iffy. I still decided risk it and book, but I bought weather promise to give me peace of mind. It worked out and the weather was nice! I was glad I had weather promise in case it did rain.

Reunion
I flew to a reunion with my rowing buddies and we were hoping for good weather. In the end the weather was good but if it hadn't been, I would have taken them all out to a meal!

I bought a rain guarantee through…
I bought a rain guarantee through Skiplagged for a camping trip that I was flying out for in Colorado. I was intrigued to see how the product worked and knew that at elevation the weather is pretty unpredictable. It actually did end up raining for 2 of the 3 days on our trip, and although we decided to stay despite the rain, WeatherPromise emailed us at the end and provided a full refund. The customer service was also quick and responsive for my questions.
I think for certain trips or activities that are contingent on weather conditions, WeatherPromise is a cool idea to help insure yourself against a rained out trip.
