Shit. Did not get a confirmation email. Any details to access my account. Just an email asking for me to review them a few days after paying.

This review is based upon Rock's handling of an insurance claim.

On my last holiday our had the misfortune to have our transfer from the airport to hotel delayed by a rock slide on the main road
to the resort. We had to spend the night in temporary accommodation, a sports hall, set up by the French Red Cross.

On our return to the UK I contacted the claims line and spoke to a friendly and knowledgeable member of Rock's staff. I explained what had happened and she guided me through the process of what I need to do. She also raised the claim on their system and sent me a link to submit the documents from the travel company confirming what had happened. Within a few days of submitting the document I received an offer, which I was happy with and the money was in my bank account shortly after.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

As a customer, the overall experience to buy the cover was frictionless with intuitive tool tips to make the process seamless. Luckily we didn’t encounter a situation where we had to make a claim, so unable to comment on that side of claim experience. However expect it to be decent as well. All in all good cover to opt in at a relatively decent price.

Booked travel insurance through jet2

Booked travel insurance through jet2. Unfortunately while on holiday I had a bladder infection and had to go to the doctors this turned into a kidney infection where I was in hospital. This was in August. Now in March stil no further with claim after paying a further £99 excess as the travel insurance claims staff are telling me they need a medical record to go through with the claim but are not telling me what is needed therefore I cannot get the medical records. Which I will add are irrelevant as there are no medical conditions as having a uti is complete bad luck so no need for medical record!!! Very stressful as worried of booking another holiday due to unpaid bill! Wish I never took travel insurance with them as it has been nothing but hassle and every phone call is stressful and they take months to respond to email.

No Email Function + non proactive staff

I was not able to make a claim, this was because while talking to a staff member on the phone, after around an hour of taking my information and asking questions the call went dead, fair enough issues happen, however the staff member had enough info to continue the claim, or at the very least contact me back to finalise. this did not happen, this shows a very poor employee (or terrible direction from the company). I then tired to make the claim again and could not do so via email as the company said they do not have an email function for claims!!, this is not acceptable for a modern company, an email option is the basics and the company should be ashamed. I requested call backs that did not happen and am now out of pocket. this is a very very bad example of a company claiming to provide a service that they cannot provide, plus they have staff who cannot work out that if a call goes dead, they still have enough info to process the claim.

I booked a holiday with jet2

I was contacted by rock insurance on the email still refusing to delete my data or remove my details. Further to my details from the booking I made for a holiday with jet2, and received insurance with them, that has already expired back in 2023, and they are still refusing to delete my information. My online account is on the jet2 platform. They keep sending me to Rock Insurance, who are saying it`s not their problem but jet2. I have been back and forth between the 2 companies, and neither is willing to help, keeping my personal data without my approval. Please don`t trust them! Yvonne said on the review site in reply to my bad review that she will do her best to delete my data, but I just received an email from their company Alejandra who is saying again she won't remove any of my details. So, please don't let yourself fooled by the lies.

Competitively Priced

Prices were competitive for our travel insurance - we had to declare some medical conditions and they covered them at a reasonable price.
