I can only speak to ease of attaining liability/malpractice insurance on website--no experience of how claims or lawsuits are handled--and I was able to apply for a policy and begin coverage within hours for same-day unexpected home health job. I wanted to be covered "just in case" since it was a complex pediatric case; one never knows what can happen or how family may reacI. I hadn't thought about wanting or needing coverage for months and I needed to get a policy asap. I checked 3 companies; ProLiability/AMBA has an A+ rating with BBB and comparable premium to another insurance company who had nothing close to an A rating. Combined, took about 15 minutes for 3 quotes and verifying 3 company reputations. I purchased a 12-month policy and received proof of coverage very quickly for policy beginning same day.

The chat service sucked. They asked for like 500 things to verify my identity instead of just confirming my name and sending me a security code to my email or phone number. However when I called the number, the customer representative was super friendly and walked through the process on website in an easy manner and explained different aspects of the policy that made it easier to understand like 'non direct patient care'.

Rachel was terrific over the phone, answering questions. The system bogged down and would not allow me to complete the form online and she assisted with this. Kudos!!! Great customer service!

I wasn't notified by snail mail about…

I wasn't notified by snail mail about my pending insurance laps - only electronically - hence the lapse of my policy and the extremely annoying and cumbersome process of having to reapply! After completing and PAYING FOR my renewal, I'm still unable to access my proof of insurance. ONE WONDERS WHY PEOPLE HATE INSURANCE COMPANIES???????
