We worked with Donna Maxwell, and she was terrific. In particular, when our contingent offer was "bumped" by the Seller, she and her team were extremely responsive in helping speed things along so that we could ultimately get approved with no contingency, within the 48 hour bump window. Had we worked with a bigger bank, I'm pretty sure we'd have lost the house. Donna was responsive and attentive, from start to finish, and was everything I could have hoped for in a broker.
We came to Premium Mortgage on a rec from our RE agent since an established bank with offices in Buffalo could not clear us for a loan even though they pre-qualified us three months earlier.
Time was of the essence since our house had sold and the offer on a replacement house was about to expire.
Granted, our credit file was "complicated", but regardless, what the bank couldn't provide in three months, Premium came through in 4 weeks.
We got the VA loan, closed on the house and we've moved in ... Done!
The process was orderly and professional and in the end, successful!

Great mortgage company to deal with
My girlfriend and I got referred to Premium Mortgage by a friend and they did not disappoint! I cant believe how easy this entire process was thanks to the entire team at Premium Mortgage.
The communication was second to none! They made things hassle free and were always easy to get a hold of. They even called me just to see how everything was going and if i had any more questions even though most of our exchanges were email. It was a relief to feel like they were there for you for anything you needed.

I regret using this company
I regret using this company. It took one and a glad months from the time I gave them Dave documentation for the pre approval to tell me they weren't guys enough for the underwriter. When I go asked for specifics to fix it they emailed the same terse replies which were vague, but wouldn't call me or give exact requirements. Finally after I provide all the documentation, on the third try, due to their vague, non specific descriptions they ask for a picture of a check to my back that I deposited 1.5 months before, despite having the records of the transaction from troweprice and my bank. If they'd said they needed it in the beginning I might've been able to get a picture, but it's gone. One you said pre approved, they're customer service becomes garbage. They're response slows, they're emails are terse and unhelpful and they refuse to pick up there phone. Using them is the worst decision I've ever made.

Slow process, average rate, a touch of unethical behavior?
Had a very interesting experience with Premium Mortgage. Our loan officer was Ralph Basile by recommendation of our buying agent (okay, that was probably our first mistake). As someone with a sample size of only 2 mortgages, it's hard to judge the quality of the application process, but it was definitely the worse of the two. Miscommunications and a generally slow process would be the best terms to describe the preapproval process, all for an average rate with a great credit score. All of that would still be enough to earn 3 stars, but the real kicker came after closing. We were in a fortunate situation where the loan could be paid off in full after our previous home had sold. I had contacted Ralph asking to go over the process to pay off the loan, and essentially received deflections and mischaracterizations of the terms of our loan agreement to try and prevent me from making any large payments on the loan before they could sell it off and profit. I will give credit to them though; it only took them 4 days after I said I wanted to pay off the loan for them to sell it off to Citizens One.
I don't have much positive to say about the experience, but we understand our situation was a bit different than most. What I can tell you if you do go through Premium Mortgage and pay your loan through more traditional measures is that they don't, in the year 2019, have any method of paying your mortgage online. For an average rate, poor customer service, an inconvenient payment, and some rather unethical practices when things go awry, ask yourself "Why am I going with Premium Mortgage for my mortgage?" If the answer is because your agent suggested it, know that they likely have an advertisement deal with the company and try searching elsewhere first. There are better options out there.

We felt things were handled very professionally and promptly! We were bothered VERY minimally and rarely (if at all) inconvenienced or put on a "last minute" spot! Everyone was so friendly. At times it seemed as if I was speaking to someone I've known for years but actually never met. We even ran into an issue with the home sale and Premium Mortgage gave us no problems with adjusting the sale price. I highly recommend this company!

Wonderful for a First-Time Homebuyer
When I decided to buy my first home, I didn't know where to start. The first mortgage broker company I called practically laughed in my face when I said I only had about $5,000 to put down. "You'd be looking at a $20,000 house and we don't work with houses priced so low," he said to me. It was a blatant lie that with $5,000 down I could only get a $20,000 house. Luckily, I found Premium Mortgage. My loan officer, Brian Kalwicki, was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. He was so knowledgeable and answered all my questions with the patience of a saint. He was available to me through email, phone, or text message at all times. I never felt like I couldn't get in touch with him or that he wasn't being responsive to me. He immediately told me about the SONYMA down payment assistance program, which allowed me to eventually buy a 140k house with about 7k down. That house, by the way, was the third one that I started the mortgage process with, and Brian was there for me through all the ups and downs. He was also the one who recommended my realtor, Adrianna Redman (Howard Hanna) who was also amazing. Home buying is one of the most stressful, insane processes out there, and Brian was able to guide me through it and bring sanity to the entire process. I also worked with David Popham as my mortgage processor, and he was wonderful as well. I can't recommend them or Premium Mortgage enough.

Premium mortgage was great. Specifically Rebecca and Jolene. Jolene was quick to give me a pre-approval and take her time to answer all my questions.
