I've been using the program for about a week now, so I only gave it 4 stars because it is so new to me and I am pretty particular about giving something 5 stars because there is always room for improvement. With that said, I am very impressed with the program. I have been "playing" guitar for about the past six months, mainly by watching YouTube videos. I found those videos to be helpful, but they are, of course, not a structured learning program and I found myself bouncing all over the place. When I started GuitarTricks, I found the structure that I needed. Admittedly, for the first 6-8 videos, I already knew the stuff (basic chords), but I watched them anyway and got a lot of good tricks on how to change chords fairly quickly. So was happy that I watched from the beginner videos. There are a ton of lessons, and the video instructions are short, which is good (like 2-4 minutes). I watch one or two (or maybe three) lessons on my phone at work during lunch, and the later that evening do the exercises, or re-watch the videos quickly and then do the exercises. This seems to work well for me. I also have the phone app, along with the website. The phone and website do a good job syncing with each other so you know where you left off, no matter which device you use (or a combo of both). Overall, I really like the program. I am looking forward to getting to the harder lessons, which have already begun. For example, I am doing the strumming lessons now and I think I've already improved, mainly because I got some good tips on how to hold the pick and also get my timing and rhythm down. I will try to update this review in a few months, but right now, for the price, this is an excellent program.

I had previously attempted arrangements, but the process was frustrating, exhausting, difficult to manage, and more often than not I cut corners, or abandoned the project entirely. In Sam's course, literally from Lesson 1 I was empowered to make active, productive steps that exponentially improved the entire process. Sam developed more than just a method with this course, he created a resource that evolves as you do. The more I have improved throughout the last 2 months, the more I have uncovered a deeper element to Sam's teaching. Each lesson builds upon the previous one, but once completed they continue to contribute valuable insights as you progress as an arranger. I now feel completely capable to tackle (almost) any song imaginable! Even if I can't play it now, I can arrange it - and that challenges me to become a better player, which gets me excited for more songs that I can arrange, and the positive cycle only continues from there. I have been in the course for over a year and it continues to enrich my playing journey - I cannot recommend it enough!

It's the real deal :) So. First of all, let me make this clear, this isn't a get a career instantly situation. Yes it's a very clear window to what it's like to be a voice actor, but you still have to practice like absolute crazy. If your like me, and you get nervous or overthink easily, what's nice about this is that it's very straight to the point, simple, easy to understand explanations, regardless of how much experience you have as a voice actor, I think there's plenty of areas to to discover on what you want to learn most. But if your not totally sold on the idea of being a voice actor, it's a fun thing to try on the side :)

I love listening to music. I had ideas but no experience making music. When young, I played recorder and flute and had lessons, but it's been over a decade, so I basically started from zero. I couldn't make ideas real, turning them into actual sounds. I found Best Music Coach, LLC. through YouTube recommendations. I listened to a livestream while working and thought, Dan knows how to teach. It made sense. In the program I was well guided. It's natural, covers everything, and you learn at your own pace. It's complete, and I feel satisfaction with the quality. The VIP program is great-calls with Dan, sharing in the group, asking questions, and creating together. It's comforting; you're not alone. My doubts were about myself. I'm an ideas guy, but I feared my ideas wouldn't work or I wouldn't enjoy it. It was self-doubt. I decided to just do it. It was a great opportunity. I saw the community post, thought about it, and went for it. I released one piece and am about to release a second in less than a month and a half. I release on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music. I'm glad; when I heard the first release, I was proud. The second is pretty too. It confirms my ideas came from me, and I love them. I couldn't create music before, but now I can. It's pretty good so far. My boyfriend is proud of me. At work, I shared my music, and a coworker who also makes music said my music inspired them to continue. There's no better compliment. The impact is very positive. If you're unsure about taking the next step, why? What's stopping you? I went for it and I'm happy. If you want to make music, what's stopping you from learning? This guy is a great teacher. You gotta start somewhere. It's not just access to programs but courses on using them, releasing music, producing, sharing, and starting with different tools. You learn everything with lessons, courses, and access to all you need.

I gave it five stars because hearandplay.com teaches music in a way that is clearly understood and with patience. My journey with them has given me more tools to work with in my piano playing. From scales to prochords, adding them in songs to enhance the sound.

I'm enjoying every moment of my courses and learning a lot from people who seem to care about teaching others and love their instruments and music as well! I also am so impressed by the time they take to fully answer any questions!

Well folks. I spent about an hour with a very nice guy who asked very typical questions that you'd expect from someone who is attempting one to enroll in an online academic program by way of a Zoom or Google Meet introduction. There are several firms utilizing similar strategies. Cutting right to the chase, I was quoted a special anniversary promotional price for two lessons per month with someone who supposedly is a highly experienced recognizable former professional famous to whatever degree touring artist mentor. I was also offered lifetime access to some specialized guitar software program that I know nothing about and have never heard of. I was quoted $4600 for 3 months in the program, with lifetime access to this special software. Can we talk? First of all. I asked the guy "who is this amazing accomplished mentor?" I was provided his name. Subsequently, I "Googled" and the results yielded a plumbing company and various links to this plumbing company. I had to scroll down a lot to see this "mentor's "name appear in conjunction with a local but good band's name that he played with. Is this instructor/mentor good? Is he like a wow, a nationally recognized guitar wizard? Well, he is a good player, but seemingly, more recognized on another instrument. There is not enough out there on him to make a fair assessment. I would absolutely not say that he matches the description of this amazing accomplished former touring artist known for his craft. Would he not then have a more significant appearance online? To be clear, I do play guitar professionally and have carved out a successful career as a solo acoustic player, and have done so for more than 30 years with over two thousand performances across North America and parts of Europe. If you Googled my name, the results go on for a very long time on various platforms. I am every so often looking to explore additional styling within my skillset and look into what some folks are doing to present educational programs within a profession that I am so thankful for and passionate about. This Sonora school triggered my curiosity so I contacted them. The opportunity to receive coaching by renowned mentors is also intriguing, I approached this Google Meet introduction with an interest in working with an artist along the likes of a Tommy Emmanuel who I have performed with, Leo Kottke and Jorma Kaukonen, both whom I've been compared to during my career. $4600 for 3 months gaining two one-on-one online lessons per month with access to this "mentor" so they say on as as needed basis, equates to over $760 per one- on-one lesson! I have mentored many guitar players and have coached countless people both emerging and advanced during my career, often at no charge. I make my living through performance, not teaching. I am honored and flattered that someone would approach me for help. I would expect to have the same or greater Internet search response when searching a mentors name, as my own. Not to say that this person is not an accomplished musician, but $760+/lesson? In summary, You TRULY do not have to pay these exurbanite fees to become a good guitar player to what ever extent you so desire. My professional advice would be to ask around as to who is a reputable and experienced "coach" who can offer one-on-one sessions. You might want to check out YouTube as there are just so many great instructional videos offered by prominent players that could be beneficial. As much as the skill, your connection with the instrument, performance environment, audience and music selections are paramount. One can study all sorts of charts, tabs and diagrams all day long. That is not what makes a great performing artist. It can't hurt to incorporate an understanding, but I'd focus on "being" not technically doing. Be your music. Dive into it. Make it mean something not just sound like something. Project your own spin. Another online advertiser that I would be weary of is Zoom Guitar. They charge $7,800. Unreal folks. Truly. You can't blame these organizations and entrepreneurs for launching a business in education because education does indeed sell. As a matter of fact, Youtube videos that offer instruction or "how to" play a song, quite often receive a higher response rate than performances of the song performance itself. If you can take a weekend and really want to accelerate your skill and performance, Look into Jorma Kaukonen's (Hot Tuna & Jefferson Airplane), Fur Peace Ranch in Ohio. True mentors by world renown touring artists. I have nothing to do with the program, but have been aware of it's reputation for decades. I am not sure of the cost but I can assure you that it is significantly less than these internet solicitations. Look up the names of the artists that have provided coaching there. Yes, mentors for sure.

I love the DBO Academy! It helps me to make progress and it's a lot of fun. The lessons are very helpful and not too difficult, so you you feel, that you really progress.

I joined Gospel University to get better at piano, increased my understanding of harmony, and train my ears. All of that was accomplished during my time in the course. It was a bit advanced for me. I'm primarily a guitarist and I understood all of the harmony, but it took time for my piano technical skills to catch up. Luckily, there website and platform is organized and well laid out. It is easy to follow and figure out where you need to spend your time and what to focus on to improve. Vaughn and my coach Lorenzo were both awesome and great people to talk to. They were both super supportive and answered any questions I had during my time. If you want to improve your piano playing no matter your level this is a great place to be. I wish I had more time to do more of the coaching calls but was a bit busy with life as well as practicing my main instrument guitar for different gigs. My piano playing, musical knowledge, and guitar playing have all improved through Gospel University.
