I have had numerous medical problems my whole life & very few answers why. I have done my homework & looked into every company that I could find for DNA testing. Sequencing.com was by far the best. I started with them in March 2025. It has been a .month & what a difference that month has made. The first reports I got were amazing. Each of my quirks had genes that caused them. There was no way anyone could have made this up. It was real. Each report got more detailed. The more I read, the more fascinated I got. I could pick out things from each parent as I went through the list of genes & variants. When I got to the whole genome sequencing I hit the jackpot. There were so many things to look at I couldn't put the reports down. There were so many answers. Each one with a description of symptoms, as well as treatment options. A step by step plan was also included with each. So my plan now is to see my primary doctor & then get some genetic counseling. What a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. This is real. It is not all in my head ,as most people thought. I have a book of reports that show me I was right all along. I am a nurse & I have not ever had enough faith in myself to stand up to those who said it was all in my head. Now I can hold my head up high. I can fix what I can & deal with the rest of the issues. I am 73 years old. What time I have left I will learn to be the best me I can be. I am so thankful for Sequencing.com to have given me such peace of mind, & the ability to face the issues I have. Mostly I can tell my daughter what genes may have been passed on to her so she can be prepared for things that may be in her future too. What a gift that is. She may even get a DNA test for Christmas!!!

Some of my genealogy has only been found on Findmypast making research much easier. I appreciate how easy it is to research on Find My Past, and enjoy using their website.

Very concerning on many levels. As a sitter, they are now App-only, which means regulators will have a harder time holding them accountable, as they don't have a website. They prevented me from posting my full credentials, trying to "lessen competition" by stripping my resume of all the other places I'd worked - not letting me say the agency by name. They clearly don't step in at all or have any support if families need to be reported for abuse. Like many other sitter sites, they will still let families review you & potentially retaillate if you report them. Most concerning as a sitter, they send you emails saying you can earn up to $200 (for example) at a gig, but then you find out they plan to keep 25% or more of your pay as their fee. Which is disgraceful. We are skilled, empathetic care providers, not some workhorse for a corporate overlord. We deserve a decent standard of living too.

It's been three weeks since I arrived at my host family's home. We get along very well they took me to Disney World and showed me around Florida. Viettka has been very helpful and caring. She came to visit us during the first week and guided me about the courses and the college near me. She also always sends me messages to check in.
