My average bill every month with them was no less than $1,000 on a home that's 1420 soft. Before that I was hoping to decrease my bill from $300 per month from my previous provider. Turns out I should have stayed with my previous provider. They make it difficult to cancel as well, and my highest bill was in excess of $1200 I do not recommend Inspire Energy. Not to anyone.

Rates seem to be good, it was fairly easy to sign up online. However, it took quite awhile to receive confirmation, which was in the form of a very brief 3 sentence email. Would appreciate a more formal physical packet mailed to me, or even a more detailed email explaining my new plan. Was a bit unsure my signup was even successful for about 2 weeks. They need to communicate better.
Hoping service goes smoothly.

I was approached by a salesman at BJ's…

I was approached by a salesman at BJ's Wholesale who said that my electric bill would be going down if I switched to Inspire. She also said I would be receiving a credit with BJ's. They also assured me that the I was getting a fixed rate on my energy bill that would never change. My bill has gone up significantly since I switched. I called the company to cancel and was told that they would cancel my account but it may take up to two billing cycles , I just find out they never cancel it, so I've been over charged for all this months, and there is nothing I can do. these people crooks, Called the company again and I'm still waiting for them to cancel it.

Jacked up Rate

If you miss the renewal notice, they automatically put you on their highest rate plan (versus a similar or lowest rate plan), resulting in a huge bill. Of course, it's your fault for not noticing. I personally think it's a form of consumer fraud.

No confirmation number given & Not enough communications! My application had a place for a confirmation number, but none was given. The only way I knew Inspire had received anything was a thank you and it may be a few weeks before the transfer.

Service Reference Number Location Not Found

Inspire required Eversource account number + Service Reference number. There was no "Service Reference" number visible on Eversource account. The reference was not visible nor in the location described by the Inspire application instructions.
