I had to submit a claim for a trip that I waws not able to attend due to a family emergency. The folks at Wanderwell gave me very clear instructions on how to submit a claim and what information they needed. I was able to communicate with a real person via email, and they were fairly responsive. They were able to process my claim in full in and mailed my check with no hassle.

I have worked with Wanderwell indirectly as a tour operator, as several of my own clients have submitted claims and had positive experiences. And while I have purchased insurance through them several times, it wasn't until recently that I had to submit a claim of my own. It was a seamless process, and I had a check in the mail within a few weeks of submitting a claim. An affordable peace of mind and super friendly crew to answer questions during the claim process. I purchased insurance for a spring break trip to Europe with my son. I am getting in the habit of this since there so many flight delays and cancelations plus the potential to get sick or injured during or before the trip.
Low and behold a train strike in Italy threw our plans out of whack and we had to purchase day of airfare to get to our next destination. I was able to do so knowing we'd be covered. Once the trip was done the crew at Wanderwell walked me through the process and made it easy to recover the extra expenditure (which was 3x the cost of insurance)!
