We just last month reached our 1 yr anniversary with Rhythm and renewed to a different contract. If the results are, as were explained, then we will be extremely grateful. We look forward to new results with roll over energy paying for taxes and fees as well as the actual energy used.

Being new to Texas, but aware of the grid problem through national news it was a big concern to me to reduce my risk as much as possible. Rhythm offered a locked in rate which was an area people were scammed by unlocked rates per the news. Also Important to me is the green factor as I prefer clean energy as much as possible. Prior to moving here, I had changed my kitchen gas stove to electric induction and found my upper respiratory problems drastically reduced and no longer on meds. A big proof to me of the health problems with gas. I believe in promoting a healthy future through green energy. Their have been no interruption of services and pleased with the weekly updates of usage. A new feature to me.

I have been with Rhythm for four years

I have been with Rhythm for four years, and I plan to change providers at the end of my contract. I am on the Rhythm PowerShift Solar Buyback Plan 12 that advertises a rate of 15.2 per kilowatt hour based on a use of 2000 kWh. My current bill is $140.50 and I used 3918 kHw this month. I am a simple man, 3918 divided by 140.50 is equal to 27.88 cents a kWh no matter how you cut it. By my calculations I have paid over $0.30 per kWh.

My solar system went down in March of 2024 and I have spent a year trying to get it back up and running. I learned that I was not on a buyback program according to Rhythm. Over that time I produced 20 MWh of power for which I have received 0 credit due to someone’s screw up which had to be on the part of Rhythm Energy.

I have the Surge Protection plan at a cost of $5.22 per month(included in this month’s 140.50 billing) and I received no assistance in repairing the solar system damaged by an electrical surge during a storm that also knocked out my brand new Carrier AC system.

Needless to say, I am unhappy with Rhythm and am shopping for a fixed rate plan that I hope will provide better pricing and coverage.
