My experience has been great. I have been recommending flex car to my friends and colleagues. With the driving score has been helping become a better driver the only thing I do not like is my score dropping do to my commute to work because it's early in the morning and happens to be raining. My flex car experience has been great and very convenient thank you..

we have dealt with Shawnie in the Gwinnett Lawrenceville office in Georgia. She has been nothing but fantastic from the first time picking up the car and any troubles that we may have had she is the best.

This company has a number of predatory lending practices. I had issues with mileage miscalculations resulting in me being over charged. I also didn't like how customer service agents had no way of assisting with over sites and corrections on the customer app. I wouldn't be surprised if this company is hit with a class action lawsuit in the coming years.

The overall flexibility and value is good, we are enjoying the car very much.
When it was first received it had a heavy smoke smell. We wanted to swap for another vehicle but local management offer
ed an ozone treatment and $100 discount ($50 for normal maintenance and $50 for extra hassle).
The car still has a faint smoke smell which is certainly better than it was. I can’t give a 5 star largely because that experience left a bad taste in my mouth, but overall everything is very good

The ease and convenience is everything I was looking for when I was in search of a new vehicle. Looking forward to seeing how much they grow.

Stressful Experience with Flexcar

I’ve had a very challenging experience with Flexcar recently, and I feel the need to share my concerns in hopes of raising awareness and encouraging improvements.

I renewed my monthly plan with a $670 payment, which should entitle me to keep the vehicle until April 6, as outlined in the agreement. Despite this, Flexcar has suggested returning the vehicle prematurely, which I find unacceptable, especially since I’ve fulfilled my financial obligations and have receipts to confirm this.

Additionally, Flexcar has imposed a weekly cost of $380, which I believe is excessive and unreasonable. To provide context, $380 represents roughly one-third of the median weekly earnings for full-time workers in the United States, making this a financial burden for many customers. This situation raises serious concerns about fairness and consumer protection.

On top of this, I’ve been charged a $1,500 damage fee due to a hit-and-run incident, which was not my fault. While I’m willing to cooperate and work out a payment plan in good faith, Flexcar’s handling of this matter has been stressful and frustrating.

I am currently unemployed and caring for a child, which has made this situation even more mentally and emotionally exhausting. Despite my attempts to resolve this through emails and communication with Flexcar and the insurer, I feel stuck and unheard.

I hope Flexcar will reflect on these issues and take steps to address them with empathy and fairness. Customers deserve clear communication, reasonable fees, and understanding when dealing with challenging circumstances.

I’ll try my best to stay positive

I’ll try my best to stay positive. They had one job which is to execute their promise as a brand. Their membership fee is complete garbage you have to wait two weeks for an oil change. They charge you $249 for the membership fee for no reason at this point. The good news is the car I got was at least fundamentally and mechanically sound. There is an overage fee that that they say you have to pay immediately? Not when the actual monthly bill is due . Man I’ve been to buy here pay here and never been this frustrated. This company please stay away from them

I’ve been dealing with an ongoing issue with Flexcar and still haven’t been able to swap my vehicle. The process has been frustratingly slow, with poor communication and no clear resolution. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, I keep getting the runaround. A service like this should be convenient, but instead, it’s been a huge hassle. If you’re considering using Flexcar, be prepared for delays and a lack of customer support. Very disappointing experience!

Great concept poorly executed.. runn fastt!

I am currently renting from them. In 2 months it will make 1 yr. The concept is great and overall never had an issue until now. First of all the new program "safe driving" is complete trash. Why would this company put something like that on someone. It isn't helpful at all. Good driving comes from being comfortable and relaxing and staying alert while driving. This program keeps people on edge and raise anxiety levels it makes zero sense. On top of that it shows just how hungry they are for money. If your driving score drops below 59 you will have to pay a surge charge but they do not tell you how much so they ha e free range on the amount smh. I personally have a good score but at the same time how do I know the app is telling the truth or is it rigged to rob clients.

Second issue is I thought it was very neat to split pay payments as they offer this. I pay 662 a month with taxes and maintenance etc. The app tells you that you can split pay 325 x2 this suppose to include everything but tax. I paid 360 x2 equalling 720 the difference is 58 bucks. I called them and they told me "Oh yea we forgot to mention that there is a charge to split payments " that doesn't make any sense at all because if that was the case why isn't that told on your app or even anywhere ??? I went to the site I went everywhere and couldn't find info that there is a charge for the split pay. Customer service suck!!! Invest in a car that you can own this company are money suckers you will never feel secure with them. At any moment they can take your car!!! Do what I did and buy you a new car and return this car. Great concept poorly executed.

Also they stated I would get 50 bucks for taking the car to get services bc of a nationwide recall. They emailed me saying I got a 50 credit they never gave me the credit smh. Trash company!

Weasels who defraud customers

I returned my Flexcar end of February yet they are still trying to charge me the monthly payment for March. I have emailed them multiple times letting them know the car is in their possession, yet I keep getting threatening emails/texts from them to pay the overdue balance. Even when you try to be done with them, they wont leave you alone! Never ending nightmare- STAY AWAY!

So far so good

So far so good. I picked up my Flex car on the 21st and I was greeted immediately when walking in. I was assisted by Cory who was very polite and knowledgeable. He made sure that my car was full, he followed up to see how everything is going. The process was really easy. I have had a minor issue with the car, where the horn does not work. However, Cory has already got me scheduled to get that fix. I only with that the mileage was unlimited and that the car washes were outsourced so that I didn't have to travel so far to get a free wash, especially knowing that every mile counts.

Rip off

I was a member for a year, and the pricing kept increasing. Insurance was originally included, but then it became an extra cost—and a significant one at that. All these added fees and increases are frustrating, and the cars aren’t great. Both cars I had ended up being towed due to issues. It’s a waste of money, in my opinion.

Forcefully charged me twice for the rental and for insurance after I stated I had my own, after I called to check why I was charged I was told there’s nothing they’ll do and I just have to pay it. After which I asked to speak to someone higher up and was told No and have a good day and hung up on. Horrible horrible experience, I was charged $600 all together for a couple of days of a rental. DO NOT BOOK!

We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you sharing your feedback. We understand how frustrating this situation must have been. To clarify, insurance is a required part of every Flexcar membership and cannot be waived, even if you have your own policy. This ensures that all vehicles meet our coverage standards and keeps things simple and consistent for all members.

Additionally, Flexcar is not a rental service—it’s a flexible alternative to car ownership. We’re sorry for any confusion this may have caused and for how your concerns were handled. This isn’t the level of service we strive to provide, and we’ll be sure to pass this feedback along to our team.

If I could give zero stars

If I could give zero stars, it would be zero stars. I wish I’d never signed up for Flexcar. I’ve spent so much money on mileage when I was assuming that the mile Would hold me over until the next month don’t waste your time and money coming to this company. Customer service is horrible. All they care about is a dollar and they will get every dollar from you. Don’t even try to dispute mileage with them because they will not listen to you and they will just keep charging your account unauthorized my advice save your time and money and go to a different company!!

We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We completely understand how frustrating it can be when things don’t go as expected. To clarify, Flexcar charges for additional mileage only when you exceed your selected plan’s limit. We aim to be as transparent as possible about these charges, and unused miles from your plan do roll over to the next month.

That said, we’re deeply sorry if you felt unsupported by our customer service team. Providing helpful and respectful service is a top priority for us, and it’s clear we fell short in this instance. We’d love the opportunity to review your case further and see how we can make things right.

THE SHITTIEST COMPANY EVER!!!!

Quite literally the shittiest company I’ve ever dealt with. A complete scam, and a great way to never save your money. Being allotted a certain amount of miles each month plus if you go over it’s anywhere from $25-45 dollars for an extra 100 miles. Customer service is shitty, basically only will email you can’t get in touch with anyone otp and they constantly are threatening to “get law enforcement” involved and threaten to come take your car.
