Ed from Top Dog spent significant time reviewing the pros of Dog Watch and let us weigh the facts, there was no pressure to buy. He then spent much time helping us train both dogs and checking back. Having tried Halo and Spoton, Dog Watch is superior. While Hidden Fence is very good choice which we considered, Dog Watch is about same cost and better in terms of long battery life as in 1 plus years, collars, and same other features. Expect it will have long life as we moved up to 14 gauge wire. Highly recommend using Top Dog.
Our dogs were escaping the fence around our yard several times per week! Watch Dog invisible fence system has improved our lives tremendously in just the week we've had it! No more chasing down dogs or bathing them when they've returned from their adventures. Such a peace of mind! Donnie was WONDERFUL to work with. Amazing local company!

Two very loved cats
We have two cats and installed the dog watch system ourselves by fixing it to the perimetre fence on our lifestyle block. Prior to getting it we had lost 3 cats on the road within 15 months. Our cats are now safe and don’t even notice their collars. They have free access to the outdoors 24/7 and we never have to worry. Were delighted!

I'll preface this by saying we have paid over a couple thousand to this company between the system, extra collars, MB-1's. Oct 2024 I went to Bob's (owner) house to buy another MB-1, at that time he said we were due for a new collar battery in Jan. I said OK I'll buy it now. He said I dont have any, pay now and I'll send it in Jan. Never received. I emailed Bob end of Jan. Which was only 3 months later. He said no you got a battery in 2024 and they last 2 years. I wrote back told him we got the system in Jan 2023 and still using original battery. I sent him photo's of receipt. NEVER responded! We're talking about a battery that probably cost HIM $5 but charges me $26 for. It's obviously not about the money, it's the point and the disrespect of not responding. He already has our money and knows he's probably not gonna make too much more off us in the future so he doesn't care. I bought 2 of the same exact batteries on Amazon for $12. Which I didn't want to do. We were loyal to him and he wasn't loyal to us. So he has lost our business and severed a relationship over $5. Sad. We use to highly recommend them but no more.I will use Latham NY in the future and you should too.

Excellent Customer Service
I am terrible remembering names, but the lady on the phone and in the office was absolutely wonderful helping me figure out what I needed to get my puppies equipment up to date. One collar had a broken receiver which the lady helped me replace and another collar had a dead battery which she took care of. She was knowledgeable, pleasant to work with and a great example of quality customer service. Dog Watch is a fantastic company and its people are very customer oriented. I would recommend this company to anyone needing an underground dog fence!

So much for lifetime replacement!
My dog's collar broke and I was advised that there was a $50 charge, unless it was less than 2 years old. When I purchased this product I was assured that it came with a lifetime replacement and no mention of a less than 2 years old policy.
I haven't had a chance to go back and pull the original agreement, but I will. Also, I was never advised of any change in policy prior to this incident.
I will be doing additional reviews of this bait and switch tactic.
Update:
Dealer reached out. I still contend there was no mention of time frames, such as the "free replacement withing 2 Years." or "dealer service charges" and shipping and handling. I don't mind paying any incurred shipping cost, if I'm unable to pick it up, but let's face it, a $50 fee is rediculous.
While I'm at it, let me say that the digital service extremely sliw and usually reports any issues with the equipment after I have already resolved it, including warnings of Pets pushing the limits of the perimter or breaches. Another example is no warning of a low battery until after battery is dead and by then I have already replaced it because I saw the light change colors. This may be the last time I bother with future DogWatch Products or repairs.

We do include a lifetime Warranty on the receiver and transmitter and will replace if they are not working (i.e., “found to be defective by reason of improper workmanship and /or materials…”). We even replace them if they fail due to a lightning surge or because of the dog chewing on the receiver. The warranty is printed on the back of the Customer Order Form and can easily be found on our website (https://www.dogwatch.com/customer-resources/outdoor/outdoor-warranty/). Having said that, all warranty claims may be subject to dealer service charges and or manufacturer shipping and handling charges.
