I was with Chase for 5 years as my main account but 3 weeks ago they just suspended my account with no contact, no call, no emails etc.
I could not log into the app so called them to find they are
reviewing my account.
Called them multiple times but no reason given, then today after 3 weeks of chasing them and late fees because of failed direct debits etc, they advise me that my account is closed with no reason given.

3 yrs ago I went to open account with chase, upon balance is changes whether I make transactions or not . I do not recommend this bank, I am working with a lawyer as we speak, funds are being taken out without my knowledge. Sad

I strongly advise everyone to withdraw their money from Chase Bank. My son was a victim of fraud, and he is a Chase customer. Chase has insurance for situations like this, where the bank is supposed to take responsibility. However, over six weeks have passed, and the bank has not returned the stolen money.

The total amount of the fraud was $10,000. So far, they have only reimbursed $4,000, leaving $6,000 still missing. Every time my son calls, he receives the same response: that the case is "under investigation," with no real progress or resolution.

Chase Bank is failing its customers and essentially stealing their money.

My best advice: take your money out of Chase Bank. Please don’t wait until it happens to you.

About two months ago Chase started trick holding federal reserve checks. First they suddenly required having an account to cash such a check. Then they required the check actually be deposited into that account before being paid out as a withdrawal. Now they claim they can not release the funds for a day so it can clear. Pardon me but as the printer of the world reserve currency the U.S. Federal Reserve is one place that should not need clearance time. They claim the change from cashing the check as a Federal Reserve insured Bank is a Branch level policy so Customer service can not comment on that, but the complaint department can claim inability to contact customer and provide fake contact info in a letter as they are closing such a complaint. Customer Service can only comment on deposits needing time to clear - even FDR deposits. I call BS. If Chase is not solvent without floating their organization reserve requirements on customer's earned paychecks then that should be noted by any and All who think their funds are safe there. By the way, yes I have been a loyal good standing customer for nearly two decades routinely cashing these checks with them. This is so far beyond acceptable since if a known amount routine FDR check is no good then neither is any dime in any bank. Blatant money grab at customer's expense via credit rating, housing, utilities and public image damage. This bank is holding customer's earnings hostage. Not sure this is legal, I know it is not loyal. Drawing $ down before it disappears - just like their service. I'm done wasting time talking to Chase about this so my box is not checked, they can respond to any of my open internal complaints with other than "our hands are tied"!

The Verification Nightmare - Electronic Money Movement Team

The Electronic Money Movement team and their AI powered verification are a disservice to Chase customers. When they call you, caller ID reads "Telemarketing" yet you are expected to trust them with your banking and ID information just because they say they are with Chase. The questions make no sense and the humans have no control-everything is dictated by AI. Even after failing to identify myself I had full account access including external accounts - so what fraud are you protecting me from? I felt like a victim and I have zero confidence in your fraud protection.

This bank should stop employing morons…

This bank should stop employing morons that don’t listen. I had to replace my debit card and I updated my address at the same time with with the customer service rep. The jack wagon asked me for the address over 20 times. I gave it and repeatedly confirmed it until I refused to confirm it again because he was just plain not listening. Lo and behold my card was sent to a city I hadn’t even lived in! Now they have the audacity to charge me 5.00 for their screw up. I’ll be checking into another bank screw these guys they don’t have the sense God gave a blind goose in a hail storm.

No response to CC application!

I have been with Chase for years. I applied twice to get their unlimited chase credit card. I never recieved a letter, an email nor a credit card. I don't know whether I was approved or denied. I waited for over a month and nothing. When I called the first time, the recorded voice said, " we are reviewing your applications." Then after a month, I called again and the voice said, "there is no application under this SS#." WHAT??? I applied twice.

Rejected transactions without reasoning

Chase keeps rejecting transactions from my credit union savings account (and afterwards, removing the account entirely from my external accounts list) and none of the THREE agents I’ve talked to in LESS THAN A WEEK can tell me why the transactions were rejected and/or why the accounts were removed. The transactions have been in very small amounts and I’ve gone through the verification process multiple times. I’m going to close my account because they suck.

Chase’s Horrible phone Reps.

Chase’s phone customer service is completely different from in branch customer service.

Representatives are rude and ignorant. The bank made an error and closed out my debit card when they did not respond accordingly to a Fraud Alerrt text and email that I received. I acknowledged the transaction ,they closed my debit card preventing me from having further access to my funds. I called and they only had two sources of verification which failed to come through on my phone several times. The same phone I have for years. They eventually sent a new debit card but did not allow access to add to my digital wallet for convient use. i called again and was placed through a ringer of verification fails constantly eventually they locked up my bank cards preventing me fund access completely. Further they hung up on me and treating me like a perpetrator and refused me service and I had to visit in branch to unfreeze my service and recover access. They are unapologetic and did not take concern in the headache and inconvience they caused from the fist initial mistake that which they caused.

chase doing what they do best.

I have read about chase customers accounts being drained & disappearing while chase does nothing.Usually it's people who have a lot of money. Now it's poor people like me.I never thought chase would tamper with a govt protected account like mine.I was wrong.Going to a branch was useless. The teller told me go home and do it thru the app.App is screwed up.I have no access to my money. Thanks chase.

I booked an international vacation…

I booked an international vacation through Chase Travel in August 2024 for a May 2025 trip with a family member. At the time of booking with Lufthansa Airlines, I typed in my full passport name. After booking I noticed that the receipt showed my credit card name. I called someone at chase immediately and they said that they spoke with Lufthansa and my passport name was on the ticket. Ten days ago, I noticed that the name of my ticket did not show my passport name. After speaking with Chase Travel, I was told I would need to cancel the ticket and that there was no guarantee I would be able to book the same flight and, it sounded as if I would have to pay more for my flight. This trip was important in the one thing that matter most, time. I will call Lufthansa tomorrow; however, it looks like I will need to cancel the trip for me and my loved one, cancel all the Airbnb's and hopefully we can make something happen. I do not recommend using Chase Travel.

Why do I need to check in with Chase…

Why do I need to check in with Chase Bank (keep calling them) and get 6 codes, to log into my online account? They change my phone numbers and chose the one they want to use. Not a good phone number.
They have blocked me because they want me to hear the long ADs they have on the phone. I pay my bill on time and they have block my online account. That is some really messed up business!!!

Customer service and app features need improvement

I’ve been trying to update my legal name on my account for two weeks. According to them, it should have taken a few business days. I’ve had to contact Chase frequently to make sure they’re working on it. Every time I do, I get a canned response that ignores my message. My new cards have finally shipped, but my online account still has my old name. It’s been a frustrating and time-consuming experience.

The app is okay, but it needs a running balance alongside each purchase. This is especially important because the current balance displayed in-app is often inaccurate. (Sometimes it includes pending purchases, sometimes not.) I find that I have to constantly tally my running balance, since I can’t trust what the app reports.

I actually like the credit cards themselves (generous points, etc), but everything else is so much harder than it needs be. It’s much easier to deal with Discover, or even Bank of America.

Chase denying 2x travel awards for Airbnb

Chase insists on arbitrarily denying or allowing, without explanation, the granting of its promised 2x Travel awards for its Saphire Preferred credit card. It widely promotes, promises, and guarantees that it will give 2x travel awards for Airbnb.

Why were my previous Airbnb transactions in the Travel category awarded 2x points? Where in the card member agreement does it state that Airbnb is classified as a Real Estate Manager category instead of Travel? Why is it promoted that 2x points are given for Travel, including Airbnb?

Instead of answering any of the questions, I was instead given no explanation and the only solution provided was the issue would be “escalated” (case ID: LSP-2025-40068 and ECW250409-06265). I first spoke with Richard and then account manager Ella (both refused to provide any identifying information). Especially disconcerting is that any concrete information was provided by either. I simply want to know: do you provide 2x travel rewards for Airbnb or not? If you do not, why do you seem to arbitrarily grant 2x travel rewards at times and deny them at other times (Airbnb 2x travel awards granted by chase on: 7/13/24, 7/27/23, 5/21/23, 5/6/23, and 4/25/23)? Why is it promoted across the web that you do provide 2x travel rewards for stays with Airbnb?

I have other credit cards that will provide 2x rewards for Airbnb or I can have Airbnb stays directly debited from my checking account that provide a 2% savings rate. Due to this and simply wanting trustworthy, direct information to be provided by Chase on their policy regarding 2x travel rewards with Airbnb, I do not understand why Chase doesn’t do what they promise. Instead, they double down on misinformation and deceit. I will never use this credit card again and my trust in Chae is broken for good.

CHASE is blocking all my wires

CHASE is systematically blocking my fund deposits to Robinhood. Using the excuse of "protecting my account," they block instant transfers. Even now, after a rough day on the market and receiving a margin call, when I urgently need to deposit money, they blocked an $800 transfer twice.

When you call them, they waste 10 minutes on useless identification processes, and when they transfer you to a colleague, they start the whole process over again. While you're trying to solve a technical issue, they ask why you're transferring the money—this is a serious violation of privacy. They even ask if you plan to make more transfers to their competitors.

CHASE is becoming unbearable. I have a lot of money with them, but I’ll switch banks as soon as possible. I’m really tired of their behavior. If Robinhood closes my positions tomorrow because of this, I’ll take legal action.
