It was finally time to sell my favorite car. I reached out to several sites. Edmar with CarBrain was the first to respond. The offer was reasonable. When I received a bit better offer from another company, Edmar was able to better it. I accepted the offer. Then, Edmar really impressed me! I was wary about these kinds of services but it all turned out well in the end! The only snag I hit was at the very beginning of the process. I was looking at different sites/companies to sell my damaged car and get the highest offer available, but as I was dealing with the aftermath of the accident, it took a while for me to settle on CarBrain and accept their offer. Once I did, I didn’t hear back from them for around a couple weeks. I eventually noticed their offer was “expired”, although there was no note of that when I accepted their offer or after. However, once I reached out to CarBrain over email, I immediately got a response and text message from Edmar and we got things moved along. They did lower the price for some reason but it was negligible (only $20 difference) and was still the highest offer I could find compared to others.
Once that was squared away, I contacted the tow company, sent proof of ownership, scheduled them to come out, and they came out during the scheduled time with a phone call to give me a heads up beforehand. They gave me the check, had me fill out the DMV paperwork, and gave me a number to call for any questions.
Edmar also followed up after the pickup to confirm everything worked out, and offered to send the bill of sale to me so that I could release liability of the car through the DMV.
All in all, it all worked out pretty much as hoped, with a few details to work out in between but nothing too complicated. Edmar was very helpful and responsive and I’d say I had a good experience using CarBrain and the towing company they work with.
